Tree Services Doreen | Local Arborist Services Without the Drama
Need tree services in Doreen? Tomahawk Tree Services helps local homeowners and property owners sort out tricky trees, overgrown branches, stubborn stumps and vegetation that needs a proper plan.
Doreen is a fast-growing outer suburb where new developments sit alongside larger, older properties with established trees. Newer blocks often have younger trees growing into fences, powerlines or neighbouring properties ahead of schedule. Older properties have more significant trees that need proper assessment and a considered approach before anything comes down.
We provide tree removal, tree trimming, stump grinding, tree maintenance, tree cleanup and chipping and hedge maintenance across Doreen and nearby areas. Because Doreen sits within Whittlesea City Council, some tree work may need council advice or a permit before it begins. We can help you understand what needs checking before work starts.

Tree questions from arround
Doreen
Possibly. Whittlesea City Council's tree protection provisions apply based on tree size rather than block size, so being on a larger lot doesn't automatically exempt you. If your gum meets the council's height or trunk girth thresholds, a permit is required. We can assess the trees on your property and advise on which are likely to require council sign-off before any work begins.
Dead trees may be exempt in some circumstances, particularly if they pose an immediate risk. However, that exemption is not automatic under Whittlesea's rules. It's worth confirming with council whether your specific trees qualify before proceeding. We can document the condition of the tree as part of the assessment, which can help if you need to support a claim of exemption.
Outer-area properties in Doreen can have long driveways, gates, and uneven terrain. We assess all of that on the initial visit and plan the job around what's actually on the ground. Where vehicle access isn't possible, we adjust our approach accordingly. Longer access doesn't mean the job can't be done, it just changes the planning.
Doreen is within our regular service area. We work across the northern growth corridors and don't apply travel surcharges for suburbs within our regular run.
