Overgrown branches, cluttered canopies or a tree that's getting out of hand. Tomahawk trims it back safely and cleanly.

Tree Trimming

About the service

Trees grow fast. What looks fine one season can be hanging over your roof, blocking light or nudging the fence line the next. Tomahawk Tree Services handles tree trimming for branches that are overhanging, overcrowded, crossing power lines or just making a mess of your yard.

We don't go in hacking. We assess what needs to come off, take the tree back to a healthy and manageable shape, and clear up properly before we leave. Whether it's one problem branch or a full canopy tidy, we plan the cut before making it.

What's included?

  • Assessment of the tree and what needs to come off
  • Removal of overhanging, crossing or hazardous branches
  • Canopy thinning and shape management
  • Care around power lines, rooflines, fences and structures
  • Branch and debris clean-up
  • Advice on ongoing maintenance if needed

Branches getting out of hand? Get them sorted before they become a bigger problem. Tomahawk handles it cleanly and without the fuss.

FAQs

Have questions?

What's the difference between tree trimming and tree pruning?

Trimming is generally about managing size and shape, removing branches that are overhanging, overcrowding or causing a nuisance. Pruning is more targeted, focused on the health and structure of the tree. In practice, a lot of jobs involve both, and we'll tell you what the tree actually needs when we're on site.

Can you trim trees near power lines?

Trees near power lines need careful handling. We work with the access and angle we have and take the safest approach to clear branches away from lines without putting anyone or anything at risk. If the tree needs more than trimming, we'll let you know.

How often should trees be trimmed?

It depends on the species, growth rate and what the tree is doing. Some fast-growing trees need attention every year or two; others are fine left alone for longer. If you're not sure, we can take a look and give you a straightforward opinion.

Will trimming damage or stress the tree?

Done right, trimming shouldn't stress a healthy tree. We remove what needs to go without over-cutting, which is the main thing that causes problems. If a tree is already stressed or unhealthy, we'll flag that before we start rather than making it worse.
